Recreation - Walking
The range and variety of walking routes in Kilmadock make the area perfect for anything from an hour's stroll to a whole day out. The Doune Ponds nature reserve offer a quiet locale within a few minutes walk of the village and the old railway links with Dunblane.
From Deanston the mill lade is of historical interest and takes in a fine view of Old Kilmadock cemetery accessed from the North side of the Teith Bridge.

There are numerous other walks explored by the walking festival group in the annual festival weekend and the First Sunday walks and a new publication of easy-to-follow routes opens up the area to visitors or new explorers alike.
