Recreation - Horse Riding

There is stabling and riding in and around Kilmadock. The following lists some local routes.

Torrie Forest - Level (Distance: 4 miles) Torrie is about 6 miles north of Doune. Torrie Forest is managed woodland with a public access road. Access the path by a gate side gap. Occasionally organised motor sports events take place in this forest.

Achray Forest - Uphill (Distance: Up to 20 miles) This forest lies between Callander and Aberfoyle. Part of the Queen Elizabeth Forest park, Achray forest is managed woodland with a public access road. Long slow climbs are available. See great views of the Trossachs, Aberfoyle, Brig O' Turk and loch Venachar. Occasionally organised motor sports events take place in this forestt.

Loch Ard Forest - Level (Distance: Up to 20 miles) This forest lies between Gartmore and Aberfoyle. Part of the Queen Elizabeth Forest park, Achray forest is managed woodland with a public access road. See great views of Loch Ard as the path goes along the shoreline.

Invertrossachs - Circular Route with Incline (Distance: 5 miles) Near Loch Venacher and located between Callander and Aberfoyle. Invertrossachs is managed woodland with a public access road. Access the path by a gate side gap. See great views of Loch Venacher and Menteith Hills. Be Careful of small streams and crossing ditches on this steadily climbing forest track.
